Just hours ago, I had slowly crept on the bus, book in hand, to be dissected by the eyes of 50 upperclassmen, swiftly dismissed as I scampered to a seat in the very front, feeling very alone.


I hoped and prayed that no one would ask for my name. All the memories of my lisp and stuttering making my name sound like a foreign language rushed to my mind. I had never been to Younglife club before, and it was uncommon for someone to just show up for the weekend camp.


I had heard that the people who went to Younglife were heathens, and by the continious yelling I heard from the back of the bus as I tried to finish my book, I believed all the rumors. The goal of the weekend was just to survive, my mind was already made up that I was going to plead to my mom for us to move out of Morgan The first day of high school was soon approaching and I could not stop thinking about how I will be feeling when I step foot onto Arvin High School.

For my first semester I signed up for fifteen credit hours, which seemed like enough. My first class started at pm and I had class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I had Tuesdays and Thursdays off, which meant I was able to work those days. My manager was understanding and considerate with my school schedule. Being a full-time student meant having to dedicate myself to schoolwork.


I was not sure if I was going to be able to balance out my schedule such as commuting to school and working, but I did. My first day of college went a little like this. Coming in as a freshman I was scared and nervous My teacher called on my table, and we stood up and walked over to the line being as quiet as church mice; since that was what was expected by our teacher.


It almost seemed like a medieval form of punishment, the way they made us wait half a century my first day at a new job narrative essay we could actually exit the classroom and use the restrooms. In the morning before getting breakfast, I saw that there was ham and cheese laying in the refrigerator and there was a big bag of potato chips laying on the counter which was now missing, my first day at a new job narrative essay. Priority at this time is to get the hell out of here. Thinking of the journey ahead, he grabbed his motorcycle key, and rushed out the door.


In a manner like The Flash, he opened the gate, then rushed to his motorcycle. As he started the motorcycle, he glanced at his watch. To cover eight kilometers, he had eleven minutes only. In the rural area where Neil grew up, eleven minutes happened to be more than the time he needed to cover eight kilometers, my first day at a new job narrative essay.
